What Is Rejuran?
Rejuran is an injectable polynucleotide product derived from salmon DNA. Polynucleotides are chains of DNA fragments, injected into the skin rather than placed beneath it, and the treatment is aimed at skin quality rather than at volume or facial movement. In Australia the product is supplied as a Class III medical device, not as a Schedule 4 prescription medicine. Kirsty completed the Rejuran workshop with KBridge Medical in 2025 in order to use it.
What Happens During Treatment?
Rejuran is delivered as a series of small injections across the treatment area, most commonly the face or the skin around the eyes. Bruising, swelling and small raised areas at the injection sites are common and temporary. Kirsty will explain what to expect afterwards and give you aftercare instructions specific to the treatment you actually have, rather than a general list. How many sessions are appropriate, and over what period, is determined by assessment and is not something this page can state in advance.
Who Is It For, and What Does It Cost?
Rejuran is one option among several for skin quality concerns, and it is not automatically the right starting point. It is not suitable for everyone, including anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, anyone with a known allergy to fish or seafood, or anyone whose expectations are not realistic. Suitability is assessed in person, and being told a treatment is not appropriate for you is a legitimate outcome of a consultation.
Pricing is $700 for the classic treatment and $550 for the eye treatment. Those figures are published here because Rejuran's classification allows it. Most injectable treatments at this clinic cannot be named or priced publicly under Australian therapeutic goods advertising law, which is why other pages discuss assessment instead of products.

Why can Rejuran be named and priced when other injectables cannot?
Because of how it is classified. In Australia Rejuran is supplied as a Class III medical device, not as a Schedule 4 prescription medicine. Australian law prohibits advertising Schedule 4 substances to the public, which is why the fine lines and volumising pages on this site discuss assessment rather than naming products or quoting prices. That prohibition does not extend to devices.
Is Rejuran the same as a dermal filler?
No. They are different products used for different purposes. Rejuran is a polynucleotide product directed at skin quality. Products used to add volume or restore facial contour are a separate category, and those are discussed only at an in-person consultation.
What areas can be treated?
Most commonly the face and the skin around the eyes. Which areas are appropriate for you, and whether any are, is established at your consultation rather than chosen from a list beforehand.

That is determined by assessment. Is Rejuran suitable if I have a seafood allergy?
The product is derived from salmon DNA, so a known fish or seafood allergy is something to raise before anything else. Tell Kirsty at your consultation, along with your full allergy history, and suitability will be assessed from there.
What are the risks?
Bruising, swelling and small raised areas at the injection sites are the most common temporary effects. As with any injection-based treatment there is a small risk of redness, itching or infection. Kirsty covers the risks, the limitations and the alternatives with you as part of the consent process, before you decide anything.
Can I have Rejuran while pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. This treatment is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Do I have to have treatment on the day of my consultation?
No. A consultation is an assessment and a conversation. You can attend, ask questions, receive professional advice and decide not to proceed. Consultation, suitability assessment and informed consent all come before any treatment.
