An assessment looks at your face at rest and through a range of expressions, and at the transition between the two, because a line that appears only on movement and a line that stays visible when the face is completely relaxed are different findings that point at different contributors. Who a Consultation Suits

Men as well as women: male facial skin is thicker and the muscles of the forehead and brow generally carry more mass, so the assessment accounts for that. What happens at a fine lines and wrinkles consultation?
Kirsty assesses the areas you're concerned about, reviews your medical history, and talks through whether you're a suitable candidate for any prescription-only options. You won't be pressured to decide anything on the day.
How much does a consultation cost?
There is no charge for the consultation itself. A $27.50 telehealth scripting fee applies where a prescription is involved, which is why a first injecting appointment costs more than the ones after it. The cost of any treatment is discussed in person, because prescription-only medicines cannot lawfully be priced in advertising.
Can I book a consultation if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

Is this my first time having a cosmetic nursing consultation?
Plenty of Kirsty's clients are first-timers. The consultation is designed to answer your questions, not to assume you already know what you want.
Why does this page not name any treatments?
Because the options for facial movement are prescription-only medicines, and Australian law prohibits advertising prescription medicines to the public. A registered health practitioner's website cannot name them, describe them, price them or imply what they achieve. Where a competitor's page appears to contain more information than this one, that is usually the explanation.
What is the difference between a line at rest and a line on movement?
A dynamic line appears when the face moves and softens when it relaxes. A static line is visible when the face is completely at rest. The same area can carry both, and most people do. Which one dominates is the useful finding, and it is what the assessment separates.
Is the assessment different for men?
The structure is the same for everyone. What differs is what it records: male facial skin is generally thicker, the muscles of the forehead and brow carry greater mass, and the brow sits lower and flatter, so those sit in a different range and the planning accounts for it.
Do I have to decide anything at the consultation?
No. A consultation does not commit you to treatment, and treatment is not always the recommended outcome. Where skin quality rather than movement is the dominant contributor, the more useful conversation is often about skin health and sun protection instead.
